Acting since 2021, Copera is a platform for integration between all ends of reverse logistics - government, cooperative, industry and citizen - that provides traceability, transparency and management of recyclable material chains.

Our solutions are based on machine learning and georeferencing for the efficient management of recyclable municipal solid waste. Our collaborative platform promotes optimization and transparency in solid waste-related operations, uniting waste cooperatives, municipal management, waste generating companies and conscious citizens.

Our mission is to be an agent of transformation towards a fairer circular economy, stimulating the formulation of public policies based on evidence and promoting a responsible and sustainable management of municipal solid waste.

About Copera

We provide advanced technological solutions for the efficient management of municipal solid waste. Through strategic partnerships with the municipal government and cooperatives of waste pickers, companies and citizens, we offer a collaborative platform that uses machine learning and georeferencing techniques to solve routing problems, optimize collection points and provide detailed reports in real time. Our platform allows to archive and organize information about routes, volumes collected and discriminate the recycled waste collected, identifying those that have been reinserted and those considered orphans, in the face of low prices or disinterest of the market.

Cooperation and customization

Copera establishes cooperation agreements with waste picker cooperatives. In a series of visits and immersions, we learn about the unique processes of each cooperative. We then create user-friendly and tailored interfaces to enable seamless interaction with our platform. Thus, we set up our network of registered cooperatives.

The Copera platform is available free of charge to municipalities. With our tool, cities can optimize the process of collecting recyclable solid waste and have access to useful data and reports. This also helps Copera expand its network of cooperatives.

After establishing operations with cooperatives and municipalities, we connect the citizens through our mobile application. This allows them to find collection points, schedule collections, give feedback and participate in education and environmental awareness campaigns.
